- UFC 104 has been made official and will be taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on October 24th and will be headlined by a first title defense by Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. What a great match-up!
- Karo Parisyan (18-5) will be taken on Dustin Hazelett (12-4) at UFC 106 on Nov. 21 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. This is gonna be SWEET. Been waiting for Dustin to return! Already on the card: Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin, Mark Coleman vs. Tito Ortiz, & Ricardo Almeida vs. Jon Fitch.
- WEC 43 has been moved from September 2nd to October 10th and from Youngstown, OH to a different venue TBD due to an unspecified injury on Ben Henderson’s part. The card will remainintact.
- Strikeforce announced that 6′ 250# K-1/Kickboxing star Ray Sefo will have his second MMA fight against Kevin Jordan on the SHOWTIME televised portion of the Strikeforce Challengers event at Tulsa, Oklahoma’s Spirit Bank Event Center on Friday, Sept. 25. The headline of the event will be Tim Kennedy (10-2) against Zak Cummings (10-0) at 185 pounds.
- Jason “Mayhem” Miller (22-6) has announced on Twitter that he has agreed to fight Jake Shields (23-4-1) for Strikeforce’s interim middleweight title at an unspecified date. Of course, until Coker makes it official….
- M1 Global’ “Breakthrough” undercard will stream FREE on Sherdog at 4:30 p.m. PT, 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday. The main card will air live on HDNet at 10 p.m. ET.
