Why Dan Henderson will overwhelm Rich Franklin!
Friday, January 2nd, 2009This match-up will be an action packed fight and a bettors delight with Hendo a slight fav @ -135. IMO this should be more like -250 to -300…Henderson looks to be the ‘fresher’ fighter of late, explosive…he really has developed an effective fast handed slugging style that took the fight out of Rampage in their last bout. He’s far superior as a position wrestler…it’s a toss up on the ground with Hendo being the stronger jointed guy when applying/defending submissions. I see Dan taking the fight to Rich, ruffing him up early with both punches and strong takedowns ending this one real early…could go two or three if Rich can get on his bike but expect a Henderson blow out.
Note in the following video you see two monsters in a war…savage heavy exchanges, great chins…some nice wrestling on both parts, however Rich doesn’t have Jackson’s size and strength nor pop and wrestles virtually the same way, but only weaker and less explosive. I thought Henderson won the early rounds decisively and will roll out the same type of attack on Rich…who will inevitably crumble under the pressure.
